Temporary

Gastric balloon: temporary stomach reduction

The gastric balloon reduces the stomach temporarily, entirely without an operation. It reduces the capacity of the stomach: you feel full more quickly and can eat less – without the typical food cravings of a diet. At the end of the therapy it is removed without leaving residue or passes out naturally; the treatment is fully reversible.

There are three balloons to choose from, depending on how long you would like to be supported and whether you would like a gastroscopy:

  • Spatz3 for 12 monthsThe adjustable Spatz3 gastric balloon stays in the stomach for a whole year. Its filling volume can be adjusted while it is in place.
  • Gastric balloon for 6 monthsThe gastric balloon for 6 months is placed during a gastroscopy, filled with saline solution and removed again after half a year.
  • Allurion, swallowedThe Allurion gastric balloon comes as a small capsule and is simply swallowed – without a procedure and without anaesthesia.
  • Costs from €3,490You pay for the gastric balloon yourself. Financing through Cosmetic Finance is possible.
Permanent, without surgery

Weight Doctors SLEEVE®: permanently reducing the stomach,
without an incision

The Weight Doctors SLEEVE® is a permanent stomach reduction without conventional surgery – endoscopic, outpatient and without scars. During a gastroscopy, the stomach wall is gathered from the inside. Two technologies are available for this.

The pose® 3.0 Double Helix technology builds on pose®, the first permanent stomach reduction without a surgical operation. With it, the stomach can become up to 70–75% smaller – with less invasiveness and improved stability. Food intake falls, and the feeling of fullness can set in more quickly and last longer.

The OverStitch NXT™ technology can also reduce the stomach by up to 75%; in some cases our specialists even observe a somewhat greater narrowing with it. Because it is nickel-free, it is suitable for almost all patients with allergies. All pathways compared: stomach reduction.

With surgery

Weight Doctors BARIATRICS®: minimally invasive weight-loss surgery

For higher BMIs – as a rule from 40, with related conditions from 35 – Weight Doctors BARIATRICS® operates using modern laparoscopic keyhole surgery, including private-practice pre- and aftercare. Surgery takes place at the Weight Doctors® Nationalklinik in Wertheim.

The gastric bypass changes the digestive pathway the most of the surgical procedures. It is carried out in two variants: as a Roux-en-Y or as an omega-loop bypass.

The gastric sleeve is the least invasive of the surgical procedures. It is based on laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG), a procedure established worldwide.

Weight Doctors® hydroGMA: less hunger,
without medication

When hunger is stronger than any resolution, Weight Doctors® hydroGMA comes in: in a single endoscopic application lasting around 30 minutes – without surgery and without medication – the production of the hunger hormone ghrelin is specifically reduced. This can dampen food cravings and make the feeling of fullness set in more quickly.

Weight loss of up to 15% is possible, and of up to 27% of starting weight in combination with the Weight Doctors SLEEVE®; results vary individually. Treatment takes place at the Weight Doctors® Nationalklinik.

Corrective procedure

Weight Doctors® REVISION: when the first stomach operation has not reached the goal

Sometimes the first path does not lead to the goal straight away – through renewed weight gain, symptoms such as reflux or dumping syndrome, or insufficient weight loss after the previous operation. This is not uncommon and not a personal failing.

In the specialist clinic of Weight Doctors® REVISION, specialists analyse the causes in a targeted way, even if you were operated on elsewhere. You receive an honest second opinion and all modern revision procedures, from endoscopic procedures to corrective surgery.

Weight Doctors® GLP-⁠1 pharmacotherapy: doctor-led weight loss

In Weight Doctors® GLP-⁠1 pharmacotherapy, the focus is not on a particular product but on medical therapy management. GLP-⁠1 is a hormone produced naturally in the gut, which modern obesity medicine takes as its guide.

Your specialist assesses your health situation, prescribes – where medically appropriate – a suitable product by e-prescription and supports you with monthly follow-up checks. On average, weight loss of around 15% is possible this way; results vary individually.

Coaching, app and 3D Bodyscan: what accompanies every treatment

With every Weight Doctors® treatment you receive nutrition tips for the time before and after the procedure. If you wish, a personal contact accompanies you through the therapy: your 360° coach in Weight Doctors® 360° nutrition coaching. You stay in contact with your treating specialist throughout.

Together, these tools form the Weight Doctors® MEMBERSHIP, the basis of every therapy; an overview is given by Weight Doctors® 360°. You will find films on treatments, specialists and patient stories in our media library.

Paying in instalments: how it works

If you would like to spread the costs over a longer period, partial payment through our partner Cosmetic Finance is possible. You determine the term yourself.
