Weight Doctors® MEMBERSHIP

The Membership is a programme designed for 3 to 12 months and the basis of your Weight Doctors® therapy – for example GLP-⁠1 pharmacotherapy. It bundles the app with Weight Doctors® Mira, Bluetooth body scales, 3D Bodyscan, prioritised access to specialists, personal 360 coaches and the e-prescription service. The medical service itself – initial consultation, prescription and progress monitoring – is part of your therapy and interlocks with these tools.

Weight Doctors® GLP-⁠1 pharmacotherapy with the Membership is available from €599 for 3 months or for €1,399 for 12 months. Included are the specialist initial consultation, the monthly medical support and all Membership benefits; the medical services are billed according to the GOÄ. For existing patients, there is a follow-on package of 3 months from €599.

No. The medically prescribed medication is not included in the fee. You redeem your e-prescription at a pharmacy of your choice and pay there directly at the nationwide uniform dispensing price. The costs depend on the dosage and pack size determined by your specialist.

After approval by the specialist, you receive your prescription digitally as an e-prescription with a barcode – redeemable at any pharmacy on site or online. A prescription is never created automatically, but always from a medical decision in the individual case; there is no entitlement to a particular prescription. In justified cases, a paper prescription is also possible.

The Membership is designed for 3 to 12 months and can be extended. Afterwards, existing patients can use the 3-month follow-on package – to continue in an unchanged therapy phase or to taper off under control. What makes sense is decided by your doctor after medical review.

After the initial consultation, a medical follow-up consultation takes place every month – by telephone, video or on site. In between, the prioritised access to specialists lets you reach your treatment team without a long wait.

In the Weight Doctors® App, Mira answers questions about nutrition and behaviour and supports you in everyday life. Mira is a non-medical offering: it does not make diagnoses and does not make decisions about medication – that remains reserved for your specialist.

Up to twice a year, depending on availability at our locations. The scan measures your body composition objectively and gives your specialist a basis for progress monitoring.

The medical service covers all decisions and consultations by your specialist – initial consultation, determination of the indication, prescription and monthly progress monitoring, billed according to the GOÄ. The tools of the Membership – app, Weight Doctors® Mira, scales, 3D Bodyscan, coaching and e-prescription service – supply the data for this: they are what make the monthly medical support possible in the first place.

GLP-⁠1 pharmacotherapy is designed to be independent of any particular medication and can take various forms of administration – for example as an injection or, after market launch, in tablet form. Which form of administration and which medicine are suitable for you is decided individually by your specialist after medical review. In principle, the therapy comes into question for people with significant overweight – as a rule from a BMI of 30, and from a BMI of 27 where there are weight-related comorbidities such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol or type 2 diabetes. It is not suitable, among others, for pregnant or breastfeeding women or in the case of certain pre-existing conditions and intolerances.
